License Models
Two Clear Licenses. Zero Ambiguity.
Every ClipKraft asset ships with a pre-defined license. Choose the one that matches your project scope and move forward without legal guesswork.
Standard License
Covers end-use projects with unlimited impressions — web pages, social media posts, internal presentations, and non-broadcast video. Permitted for editorial and commercial use. Includes full model and property releases for every contributed clip. Price: €19 per download. No recurring fees, no impression caps, no time limits once licensed.
Restrictions: reselling the clip as a standalone asset, embedding in a competing stock platform, or using in merchandise for resale (t-shirts, mugs, prints) requires an Extended License.
Extended License
Unlocks merchandise, product packaging, and large-format print runs. Also covers TV broadcast, cinema, and campaigns exceeding 1.2 million impressions. Permits use in logos, trademarks, and brand identity systems when the clip is a recognisable element of the final design. Price: €149 per download. One-time payment, perpetual term.
Includes the same model and property releases as the Standard License, plus a written indemnification addendum covering brand-level usage. Suitable for agencies producing work for Fortune 500 clients.
Legal Protection
What Happens If a Third Party Claims Infringement?
ClipKraft stands behind every asset. If a properly licensed clip is subject to a valid third-party claim for copyright, trademark, or right-of-personality infringement, we provide indemnification up to €50,000 per claim under the Standard License and up to €250,000 per claim under the Extended License. Coverage is administered in cooperation with Munich Re and activates within 14 business days of written notice.
Before any clip reaches the marketplace, it passes through a three-stage review: automated fingerprinting against the Getty and Shutterstock databases, manual verification of model releases by our legal team in Hamburg, and a final quality gate by senior curators. Over 98.6 percent of submissions clear review on the first pass. Clips flagged for incomplete documentation are held in quarantine until the contributor resolves the issue — they never appear in search results.
All licenses are governed under German law (BGB §§ 688–702). Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Landgericht Hamburg. Enterprise clients may request a custom license agreement with multi-seat attribution, internal redistribution rights, and named end-client coverage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a Standard-licensed clip in a YouTube ad?
Yes. YouTube ads, including TrueView and bumper ads, fall under the Standard License as long as the total campaign does not exceed 1.2 million paid impressions. If your media buy crosses that threshold, upgrade to an Extended License.
Do I need to credit the creator?
Attribution is optional but appreciated. If you choose to credit, the format is "Clip by [Creator Name] via ClipKraft" — no hyperlink required. Neither license mandates attribution.
What if I need the same clip for five different clients?
Each end-client requires its own license. One Standard download covers one end-use project for one client. For agency workflows with recurring usage, contact us for a team license that bundles up to 200 downloads at a 30 percent discount.
Are model releases guaranteed for every person shown?
Yes. Every contributor must submit a signed model release for each identifiable person, plus a property release for private locations, branded products, or distinctive architecture. These documents are stored in our secure compliance vault and are available to licensees upon request.
